Snoqualmie Falls was the first Traditional Cultural Property listed in our country’s National Register of Historic Places, and has carried a deep meaning for many people. For the Snoqualmie People, the falls are sacred, a core part of their creation story. For us at Soundfalls, it carries a special significance as well: it inspired the title of our shows when they began 10 years ago. It symbolizes the volume, and often times unpredictability, of talent rushing through this valley, and, like the falls, we felt that it needed to be brought to light and celebrated. Ever since, we’ve been collaborating and publicly sharing the valley’s, and region’s, talent in surprisingly rewarding and unifying ways.
